Lit building
A building already served by active fiber, as opposed to one requiring a new construction build.
Lit means service can be turned up in weeks. Unlit means a construction project with permitting, right-of-way and a cost measured in dollars per foot, borne by the tenant.
The distinction is one of the largest and most frequently overlooked cost differences between two otherwise comparable sites.
