Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By accessing or using SubSurface Intel (“the Platform”), operated by AI Venture Holdings LLC (“Company”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.

Account Responsibilities

• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• One account per user — do not share accounts
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape or bulk-download the Platform's data outside your tier's API rate limits
• Reverse engineer the search ranking, geospatial pipelines, or proprietary models
• Resell or redistribute access without a written agreement
• Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable law, including unauthorized investigation of private parties
• Submit automated traffic that interferes with normal service

Data & Sources

SubSurface Intel aggregates publicly available government data from sources including USGS, USBR, NRCS, EPA, BLM, WaDE, and individual state water authorities. We make reasonable efforts to keep this data accurate and up-to-date but do not guarantee correctness.

You should independently verify any information used to make legal, financial, or regulatory decisions. The Platform is an intelligence tool, not a substitute for legal advice or official records of title.

Intellectual Property

The Platform's design, code, search ranking, geospatial transforms, and aggregated views are the proprietary technology of AI Venture Holdings LLC. The underlying public-record data is owned by its respective government source.

Service Availability

The Platform is provided on a best-effort basis. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, particularly when upstream government APIs experience outages. Enterprise tier customers receive a separate SLA with documented uptime targets.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI VENTURE HOLDINGS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Termination

• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Users may delete their accounts at any time through Settings
• Upon termination, your account data is purged per the retention policy in our Privacy Policy

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.
