Commodity
The specific mineral or metal a deposit or claim targets — gold, silver, copper, lithium, uranium and others.
Commodity determines everything downstream: the geologic model, the processing route, the water requirement and the market. Filtering exploration data by commodity is the first step in any targeting exercise.
Commodity economics also rewrite the map periodically. Lithium demand has made occurrences that were catalogued as uneconomic curiosities decades ago into current exploration targets.
